Profile: Ping Fong, Jr.
Ping Fong, Jr., founder of Biomedical Management Resources, has more than
30 years of experience in medical, aerospace, and chemical manufacturing businesses.
He has held increasing responsible positions as Engineer, Manager, Director, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer,
and Interim President/CEO. He serves on the Board of Directors of two private
companies as well.
Mr. Fong has generated and analyzed numerous business plans, achieved a number
of business Partnering arrangements, acquired and relocated an entire business, and served as acting President/CEO/General
Manager for several client companies.
Notable multi-national companies that have previously engaged Mr. Fong include
Baxter International, Boeing (McDonnell Douglas), and the Air Products and Chemicals Corporation. He has managed operations of three early stage and emerging technology companies: Bunnell Incorporated, a medical ventilator company; Nomura Enterprises, a defense contracting company;
and Swen Sonic Corporation, an ultrasonic equipment manufacturer spinoff from Litton Industries.
Active in civic organizations, Mr. Fong is co-founder, past chairman, and
current Board Advisor of the Utah Intermountain Biomedical Association (IBA); serves on the Board of Directors for the Utah
Life Science Association (ULSA); served for four consecutive International Medical Device Congress and Summit Conferences
(held in Utah); and served five years on the Board of Advisors for the State of Utah Centers of Excellence program.
Mr. Fong holds a B. S. degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University,
a masters degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
